Breakouts
The best treatment for breakouts is prevention with good skin cleansing and masking on a regular basis. Also, limiting the use of liquid foundations may be helpful. Many liquid foundations can be pore clogging. For regular, deep pore detoxifying, use CLARIFIQUE Purifying Clay Mask 3-5 times a week. When breakouts do occur, do not push or squeeze the area. Spot treat and sleep in the mask on the areas where you can feel the breakout forming. Cleanse thoroughly every day and every night with CITRUS FOAM Exfoliating Cleanser to remove oil, dirt and impurities. Rinse very well with lots of water to remove all the excess oil. Try to avoid putting your hands on your face. Your hands can be dirty and can transfer bacteria to your face. If breakouts become excessive, seek medical advice. If scars have occurred from breakouts, the look of the scars can be minimized with MINERAL DERMA-SCRUB. Microdermabrasion has been proven to minimize the look of acne scars. This aluminum oxide crystal treatment is a home version of microdermabrasion. It helps remove dead cells and rejuvenates the skin, creating a much smoother complexion. Use 1-2 times per week for no more than 2 minutes.
Large Pores
Individuals with oilier skin tend to have larger pores. Pore size is enlarged by build up of dirt, dead skin cells and oil. Toners are virtually ineffective at helping with pore size and oftentimes cause oil rebound which leads to more oil. Mineral clays help to clear the excess oil, dirt and dead cells from deep within the pores. Two to three times a week use CLARIFIQUE Purifying Clay Mask to filter and lift these impurities. Also, it is helpful to spot treat with the mask on problem areas and sleep in it up to every other night.
Excessive Oil and Blackheads
Diminish oil with the astringent, antiseptic properties of CITRUS FOAM Exfoliating Cleanser. This cleanser removes excess oil without stripping the skin or causing redness. Be sure to cleanse twice daily and after exercise if you have moderate to severe oil concerns. Blackheads can be softened and released from the pore with CLARIFIQUE Deep Pore Cleansing Mask. Allow mask to sit on the area of the blackheads for at least 1-2 hours. The essential oils in the mask will help to break apart the blackhead cap on top of the pore.
